With the volume of goods handled by Herman Andersson Oy, the Port of Oulu has become the largest export port for sawn timber on the Bothnian Bay.
Our customers’ commitment to the Port of Oulu creates positive opportunities for us to maintain and develop the port’s infrastructure and various terminal services, which are necessary for growth, together with the Port of Oulu. This way we will be able to bring added value to our customers’ logistical value chain in the future, also.

Herman Andersson handled and shipped sawn timber goods as conventional and in containers approximately 160 000 m3 during January-April 2015. Only in April we shipped sawn timber goods about 75 000 m3, which is the biggest separate volume in our company´s history. The staff of Herman Andersson thanks the shippers and co-operators achieving this great quantity.
Herman Andersson Oy begins to act as Swedish Orient Line's sales agency, concerning RoRo connections from/to Oulu. Through us is possible to book cargoes for RoRo vessels to/from Lübeck, Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Tilbury in export. RoRo-connection to Gothenburg is setting out from now on.
Transatlantic extends it´s feeder traffic in Northern Finland from 3.12.2014 on; TransBothnia Container Line starts to operate weekly in Port of Oulu as it offers container traffic line e.g. Antwerpen.
Swedish Orient Line takes an operative charge of RoRo-traffic line of Northern Finland from 1.12.2014 on. The port of Gothenburg is setting out of rotation. Instead we can offer new straight RoRo-line to Tilbury (UK) in addition of Lübeck (DE), Antwerpen (BE) and Zeebrügge (BE).
